How the trial and subscription work

Download CoinOp and run it. It works fully for 7 days from the first time it starts, with nothing to enter and no card to give.

After that it needs a licence key, which arrives with your subscription and is pasted in once under Settings → Licence. CoinOp checks it about once a day.

If it cannot reach us

A licence check that fails changes nothing for 30 days. CoinOp carries on and says so on screen, with the warning getting more prominent as the month goes on. Your internet being down, or ours, is not your problem to solve in the middle of service.

After 30 days without a valid licence, CoinOp stops working. That is a hard stop, not a limited mode — so if a subscription has lapsed or a venue has been offline for a month, deal with it before the thirty days are up. The countdown is shown in Settings from the first failed check.

Cancelling

Cancel from the customer portal at any time and the subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Your data is yours and stays on your server — nothing is switched off remotely except the licence itself.

What we can see

A licence check tells us the licence key, an install id, the venue name you chose and the version you are running. It carries nothing about your customers, your takings or your menu. Those never leave the building.
